A Senior Consultant with extensive and well-rounded experience in all phases of Software Development
Life Cycle and currently working with FICO specializing in FICO Blaze Advisor for which I am a Certified
Professional. I serve in a senior capacity working with FICO clients in roles such as Lead Architect,
Technical Architect, and Lead Designer. My main skills and experience include determining and verifying
architectural suitability and integration, design of rules repositories, best practice reviews, development of
rules based applications, and deployment. I also possess a deep expertise in the Blaze Advisor API in order
to create more complex customized solutions and have a solid understanding of FICO SmartForms and
FICO Decision Simulator add-on products. I also have extensive knowledge in theory and practice of
FIRUP which is a FICO proprietary methodology to address delivery of Blaze Advisor implementations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- Senior Consultant - Solution Integration, FICO (May 2006 - till date)
- Currently the Lead Architect for a project to migrate a heavily customized RMA from the classic RMA to Next-Generation RMA for a large Singapore based bank. I have been involved in an assessment to determine the road map for migration, designing the changes to work best with the next generation RMA architecture as well as guide the development team for the development phases.
- Multi tenant rules platform for a Colombian Credit Bureau: I was a senior architect in defining the multi-tenant architecture for Blaze Advisor for a Colombian Credit Bureau. In this role, I was involved in elaborating client requirements, defining a suitable architecture and providing a project development road map for the FICO PS development team. I also oversaw the development and deployment of this large project.
- Software AG webMethods & Blaze Advisor consultation for Software AG PS: In this engagement, I was involved in working along with Software AG PS consultants and R&D teams in helping the Software AG team implement Blaze Advisor RMA for a large payment gateway project for a Singapore client. I was involved in providing expert advice on advanced aspects of Blaze Advisor including customizations to RMA, defining a proper template design etc. After this engagement, I created a whitepaper on this integration which is now being used as a reference by many FICO teams internally to learn about webMethods-Blaze integration.
- Enterprise Blaze Advisor implementation for a large South African Bank: I was the Lead Architect in a major enterprise wide Blaze Advisor implementation for a large South African Bank for five lines of businesses - Home Loans, Personal Loans, Vehicle Loans, Student Loans and Credit Cards. In this role, I was involved in defining a migration path from Experian Strategy Manager to FICO Blaze Advisor. This migration is semi-automated and the RMA framework used is highly generic and usable by various departments of the Bank. This work won a FICO Technology Award in 2009.
- Blaze Advisor Enterprise Rules Architecture for large U.S auto club: I was the engagement architect for a re-architecting assignment where the existing rules architecture was fully re-engineered taking into account platform interoperability (between Java and .NET) of rules. I was responsible for laying out the architecture with the future state processes for rules management including enterprise design of repository. This work was awarded a FICO Technology Award in 2008.
- Software AG webMethods - Blaze Advisor Reference Architecture implementation for an Australian LMI company: I was involved in a best practices project for a loans insurance (LMI) company in Australia. In this role, I helped the client's IT teams with the best practices in using Blaze Advisor bundled with Software AG webMethods and was involved in setting up and reviewing the various processes of rule projects - ranging from analysis, design & development, deployment and release management.
- Blaze Advisor Smartforms solution for an insurance company in the U.S.A: In this engagement, I designed a highly flexible solution so that multiple lines of business could be brought on Smartform easily in the future.
- Blaze Advisor Smartforms implementation for a US insurance giant: The client uses XMFI and this product has to be replaced with Smartforms. I was involved with the analysis to determine the alternatives and recommendation of best approach for the migration of the several thousand rules written in XMFI to Blaze Advisor Smartforms.
- Rules consultation for a large IT services provider: I have been involved with best practices for Blaze Advisor implementation for a major client of this service provider. I was involved in the elaboration iterations to prove the capabilities of Blaze Advisor to client architecture team, this included template design for a highly complex use case, rule based application design and implementation using Blaze Advisor.
- Blaze Advisor implementation at a large Indian private Bank: I was the senior rules architect and involved in Blaze implementation for two major projects covering auto loans & credit cards at one of the largest private banks of India. I was been involved from the analysis phase to the implementation.
- Blaze Advisor implementation at a major European bank: I was involved in the Blaze Advisor implementation at a large European Bank. My areas of involvement were technical architecture, rules architecture, deployment, directing the rule service testing, coordinating with other business partners like TCS and Infosys.
- Lead Designer, ANZ Bangalore (Sep 2000 - May 2006)
- Last held position at ANZ was as a design lead for ANZ Mortgage Systems and responsible for the design of changes to over 8 systems that support the Mortgage business of ANZ Bank in Australia and New Zealand. Also responsible for developing the Design capability and associated team in Bangalore.
- As part of a core team, I played a key role in setting up the Development and Support teams in Bangalore and in transitioning development and support of mortgage systems to these teams.
- Setup a Community of Practice to champion the usage of best practices and tools for Microsoft .NET projects.
- Set-up the Microsoft.NET training program for training Visual Basic and ASP developers in .NET technologies, the .NET development standards and the recruitment process for recruiting .NET resources for the product development team.
- Championed the use of tools and such processes as daily builds, automated unit testing, and code generation to increase the development productivity and improve quality.
- Involved in the design and development of several products in .NET - Loans Origination, Enterprise Report Server, IBanc.NET, Workflow capabilities etc.
- Responsible for the design and development of the infrastructure layer of the ANZIT retail-banking product called BANC.
- Suggested changes to the original system design during the second phase of a web based project, which reduced the development effort and the defects during UAT.
- Authored an open source project for automated unit testing called TestTube.NET
- As an onsite-coordinator, I was responsible for over six different projects on-site. Gained extensive client exposure, and experience in requirement/impact analysis, change/configuration management, and co-ordination.
- As a lead resource of Project APS, I was also responsible for first-level support during the functional testing, UAT and performance testing of APS.
- Development of web based projects for the E-Commerce team.
- Involved in the research and development of a Wireless Short Messaging solution called ANZit SMS Gateway.
